History of the Initiative

The initiative to develop para ice hockey in the Odesa region, including Para Ice Hockey Odesa, was created within the activities of the NGO “Potential for the Future.” Founded in 2002, the organization has long-standing experience in the development of children’s and youth sports.

Over the years, the NGO has actively collaborated with local communities, schools, sports institutions, and local authorities, building sustainable partnerships and implementing socially impactful initiatives that support inclusive sports development.

Our Club

The Black Sea Hunters club was founded in July 2025. The team is currently at an active stage of formation and development, reflecting the overall growth of para ice hockey in Ukraine and the development of the Para Ice Hockey Odesa direction in particular. The first players included five veterans with disabilities and four civilian participants, while the training process is led by three experienced coaches.

The main training base is located at an ice arena in Chornomorsk; however, with the support of local authorities, the team has also been granted access to ice arenas in Odesa for training sessions and events.

Our Events

Our hockey club is a modern sports program for children and adults, offering professional hockey training accessible to participants of all skill levels. We work with both beginners and experienced players, creating a comfortable, safe, and motivating environment for the development of technical skills, physical fitness, and team interaction.

In addition to regular on-ice training sessions, the club actively organizes sports events, internal tournaments, open competitions, and family-oriented activities. Speed challenges, matches, accuracy games, and team competitions bring together participants of different ages, fostering a strong hockey community and a culture of mutual respect and support. In our club, hockey is not only a sport but also an active lifestyle, social connection, health, and shared experiences for the whole family.

The Black Sea Hunters club offers opportunities for sponsors and partners who wish to support the development of para ice hockey and adaptive sports in the Odesa region, particularly the Para Ice Hockey Odesa initiative. Cooperation with our club helps engage children, veterans, and people with disabilities in active sports, creating an accessible, safe, and motivating environment for all participants.

We offer various partnership formats, including branding of sports equipment, logos on team uniforms and banners during tournaments, mentions at official events and in media, as well as participation in the club’s social and sports initiatives.
